Job Title: Resident Services Assistant/CNA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Resident Services Assistant/CNA to join our team at Noland Health Services. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care and services to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:

* Provide nursing care and services to residents, including activities of daily living, as directed by the resident's plan of care.
* Participate in the orientation of new residents, obtaining resident information and ensuring a smooth transition to our facility.
* Assist with and/or arrange services, appointments, recreational activities, and other resident needs as directed.
* Assist with the admission and discharge of residents, ensuring a seamless process.
* Document services provided as required, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
* Report any changes in a resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
* Perform restorative and rehabilitation procedures as instructed, promoting resident independence and well-being.
* Regularly check on residents to ensure their needs are being met, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
* Assist with transporting residents to/from dining, therapy, activity, and social programs, as necessary.
* Encourage residents to participate in socialization activities, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
* Assist with investigating resident complaints and grievances, ensuring a fair and respectful process.
* Obtain supplies and equipment for residents as directed, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
* Perform resident care, including lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transferring residents, utilizing facility technique.
* Maintain resident rooms and care areas clean and neat, promoting a safe and healthy environment.
* Attend resident care plan meetings as directed, contributing to the development of individualized care plans.
* Participate in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities, ensuring continuous quality improvement.

Requirements:

* Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant or obtain certification within 4 months of hire.
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Certified Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
* Two (2) years experience in long term care preferred.
* Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills within thirty days of employment.
* Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
* Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
* Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
* Must work harmoniously with other personnel.
* Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
* Must possess flexibility.
* Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
* Must demonstrate sensitivity to the special needs of residents.
