Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Sales Associate to join our team at Weis Markets. As a Produce Sales Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a well-stocked and visually appealing produce department, ensuring that our customers have an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unpack and stock produce merchandise, ensuring that it is in saleable condition and properly priced.
  • Rotate stock to ensure freshness and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in building attractive displays and maintaining the salad bar and cut fruit/vegetable as needed.
  • Handle spoiled and damaged product, new items, and discontinued items according to company policy.
  • Responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines.
  • Assist in minimizing shrink and controlling damages, reporting shortages and overages to manager.
  • May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries, as well as baling cardboard or other related duties if properly trained.
  • Ensure smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co-workers and superiors, responsible to continuously improve job performance.

Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.
