Job Overview

Industrial Trade Services is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to join our team. This role involves laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing and maintaining piping systems for various industrial applications.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $63,000 and $73,200, based on a 40-hour workweek and assuming the candidate has the required experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Selects appropriate pipe materials and equipment according to job specifications
  • Inspects worksites to determine presence of obstructions and plans sequence of installation accordingly
  • Cuts and threads pipes using specialized tools
  • Bends pipes by hand or with machine
  • Assembles and installs pipes and fittings using threaded, caulked, soldered, or cemented joints
  • Secures pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers
  • Tests piping systems for leaks and welds supports to structural steel members
  • Lifts, positions, and secures material and work pieces during installation
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
  • Makes decisions based on measurable criteria
  • Apply shop mathematics to solve problems
  • Plan work and select proper tools
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings
  • Work at heights without fear
