Tax Leadership Opportunity with Diverse Client Base

Pelzner & Associates is a reputable CPA firm seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax department. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee a team of professionals, guiding them in preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals and businesses.
As a Senior Tax Manager at Pelzner & Associates, you will be responsible for strategic tax planning, guidance, and general accounting support. You will supervise and mentor a team of tax associates, providing valuable feedback to optimize their performance. Your expertise in preparing individual and business tax returns, including S-Corporations, partnerships, and trusts, will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of tax filings.
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or taxation and have at least 15 years of experience in tax preparation and planning. Proficiency in tax software, such as Lacerte, and excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of tax associates, providing guidance on tax return preparation and review.
- Tax Preparation and Planning: Prepare and review Federal and State income tax returns for individuals, S-Corporations, Limited Liability Companies (LLCs), and other entities.
- Client Communication and Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries and obtaining necessary documentation via phone, email, Zoom, or in person.
- Tax Filing and Compliance: File tax returns and other required tax documents using Lacerte Tax software.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field.
- Current CPA license (or equivalent certification).
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Expertise in preparing individual tax returns (Form 1040), K-1s, and business returns (LLCs, S-Corporations).
- Proficiency with tax preparation software (Lacerte preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent client management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
