White Plains Hospital seeks an experienced and skilled Senior Patient Access Coordinator to join its Admitting Department. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 10am-6pm, with alternative weekends and holidays.

Job Overview:

  • This role is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Admitting department registration process and Admitting Registrars.
  • The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in patient access hospital work and possess working knowledge of registration and bed control workflows.
  • They must be able to type 45wpm and have basic computer skills using Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Patient Access Coordinator will complete scheduling for all Admitting/Bed Control Shifts and train new registrars.
  • They will also assist with Registration/Bed Control team work as needed and continually improve department work processes.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for staff scheduling, performance, trend, and denial prevention, meeting annual POS collections goals.
  • Additionally, they will manage Press Ganey, interdepartmental Satisfaction, and Employee satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • A GED or High School Graduate with some college preferred.
  • Experience in patient access hospital work required.
  • Working knowledge of registration and bed control workflows necessary.
  • Ability to use basic office equipment and Microsoft/Excel required.

Estimated Salary Range: $61,972.95 - $92,959.23
