Job Function

The purpose of this position is to oversee and provide input to all aspects of software quality assurance at ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company. This includes responsibility for the development, creation, maintenance, and execution of test cases and test plans, as well as analysis of test results. This position will work with other employees to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a formal QA process for the I/T department
  • Responsible for entire QA process, develop test plans, execute test cases, analyze results, and report bugs and errors to the development team
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business user needs to incorporate into the QA process
  • Provide thorough and practical solutions to complex business problems
  • Lead peers and subordinates with a positive attitude
  • Meet assigned task schedules and participate in quality review of own and others' work
  • Provide quality service in all areas of responsibility

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in computer science preferred
  • 2-4 years' experience as a software QA tester or similar role
  • Must possess experience as a Quality Assurance tester or similar role. Should have experience with automated testing software and ability to document and troubleshoot errors
