Job Description:

This position involves working as a member of a direct care team serving adults with serious mental illness. The primary responsibilities include supporting the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions, performing housekeeping and meal preparation, administering medication, and keeping accurate clinical documentation.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiver for a client with behavioral health needs. What You'll Make

The estimated hourly salary for this role is $21.00-$23.00, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition, bilingual candidates may be eligible for a 5% language differential.

Vocational Training Program

ColumbiaCare offers a Vocational Training Program to accelerate training and certification for QMHAs. This program provides on-the-job experiential learning and testing preparation to achieve the required 1000 supervised hours for certification. By participating in this program, employees can complete their certification as a QMHA-I within six months. This is an optional program available to qualified employees.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent talking, listening, using hands and fingers, standing, walking, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds. Occasional sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, stooping, squatting/kneeling, and performing other physical tasks may also be required. Crisis de-escalation and CPR training are essential components of this role, which involve performing various physical maneuvers and techniques. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
