Job Summary

Mainstream Engineering Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our small finance office. As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in processing payments, providing Fixed Asset reporting, and assisting with financial reporting for several subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Cost Accounting: Accurately track and record inventory costs to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Process Payroll: Manage payroll processing, including calculations, deductions, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Process Credit Card Invoices: Review and process credit card invoices, ensuring timely payment and accurate financial recording.
  • Monthly GL Reconciliations: Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Time Sheet Reviews: Review and approve time sheets, ensuring accurate recording of hours worked and compliance with company policies.
  • Daily AP Transaction Reviews: Review and process daily accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payment and accurate financial recording.
  • Monthly Fixed Asset Tagging: Perform monthly fixed asset tagging to ensure accurate tracking and recording of company assets.
  • Monthly Balance Fixed Assets to General Ledger: Reconcile fixed assets to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Reconcile Online Transactions: Reconcile online transactions, including bank statements and credit card statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Accounting for Subsidiaries: Provide accounting support for several subsidiaries, including financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting: A bachelor's degree in accounting is required for this position.
  • 2+ Years of Accounting Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience is preferred, but not required.
  • US Citizenship: US citizenship is required due to strict ITAR regulations.
  • Willingness to Assist: A willingness to assist in all aspects of the accounting department is essential for this role.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word: Proficiency in Excel and Word is required for this position.
  • Good Communication Skills: Good communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with other professionals in the finance office.
