Job Title: Biomechanics Computational Modeler

DCS Corp is seeking a highly skilled Biomechanics Computational Modeler to support the Biodynamics Group within AFRL at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The Biodynamics Group assesses human response and injury tolerance to impacts, ejections, and high-G events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize dynamic modeling programs like LS-DYNA for injury analysis and threshold determination.
  • Analyze and model movement/kinematic data.
  • Engage in physical injury biomechanics research.
  • Interact with human subjects and instrumented crash test dummies.
  • Conduct PMHS research.
  • Apply statistical software for data post-processing.
  • Develop Finite Element Models using LS-DYNA for occupant safety.
  • Analyze high-fidelity Finite Element human body models.
  • Apply biomechanical sensors and data processing requirements.
  • Prepare IRB submissions.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to customer sensitivity.
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with at least 5 years of experience. Graduate degree desirable.
  • Ability to obtain a secret-level DoD clearance.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis.
  • Experience in a collaborative research environment.
