The Senior Consultant for Workforce Development will oversee the development and implementation of workforce initiatives for the Global Health Center's Division of Global Health Protection (DGHP). The role involves designing strategies to create a more agile workforce, improving workforce planning processes, and developing competencies aligned with global health priorities.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Workforce Planning and Strategy Development: Evaluate job roles and organizational needs to ensure alignment with global health priorities, implementing strategies that adjust staffing and enhance role efficiency while improving employee retention.
- Competency Development: Work with leadership to define essential competencies tailored to organizational needs, creating frameworks for staffing data management and developing training programs to meet these competencies.
- Retention and Pipeline Strengthening: Develop initiatives to enhance employee retention in crucial positions and strengthen talent pipelines by identifying opportunities for professional growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster improved communication and teamwork across the organization, facilitating strategic planning sessions that promote a cohesive workforce development strategy.
- Data-Driven Workforce Adjustments: Create data-driven tools for strategic workforce planning that align with program priorities and funding, ensuring workforce changes are sustainable and thoroughly documented.
- Reporting and Evaluation: Oversee monthly reporting and evaluation of workforce development efforts, ensuring that reports are timely, accurate, and reflect the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workforce development, human resources management, or organizational development, with a proven track record of leading organizational change and improving employee retention. A Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Public Health, or a related field is highly desirable.
