Job Summary

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to oversee and manage engineering and technical tasks throughout the project's lifecycle. As a key member of the project management team, you will provide critical support to ensure that all engineering aspects of the project are designed, executed, and delivered according to plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with and promote all Safety policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Direct oversight of assigned field engineers and provide technical support for the Field Superintendent.
  • Review and submit shop drawings, address relative correspondence, and review with the Project Manager.
  • Provide delivery support for the Field Superintendents and technical review of work in the field to specification requirements.
  • Advise the Project Manager of potential change orders or claims and coordinate and monitor long lead items that are schedule significant.
  • Provide continued reevaluation of means and methods and direct oversight of technical drawings for structural steel, concrete work, and rebar.
  • Conduct field visits with QA/QC to manufacturers of long lead items as determined by the schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate and take the lead responsibility during the submittal process.
Requirements
  • Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Proficient computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, and preferred experience utilizing HCSS HeavyJob, Vista, CAD, and P6.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Comprehensive understanding of civil construction industry practices and standards.
  • Ability to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Valid Driver's License.
