Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead to join our team at L3 Technologies. As a key member of our Integrated Vision Solutions sector, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers and technicians in providing manufacturing operations with the vision, technology, and expertise they need through the entire production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote safety through leadership in process safety analysis, ergonomic assessments, and process improvement activities.
- Engage on product designs / new product introduction including DFMA and design for additive manufacturing.
- Manage engineers and technicians driving projects for new product introduction, tactical support and current product continuous improvement.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Support divisional and Operations financial and productivity metrics and improvement goals.
- Ensure Manufacturing Engineering Team is driving improvements in first pass yield, cycle time, efficiency, cost of poor quality.
- Collaboration with Operations in the execution of production commitments.
- Use lean, process technology, and automation to continuously improve the manufacturing environments driving cost leadership, world class quality and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with the Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality & Continuous Improvement (e3) to integrate process integrity methods such as xFMEAs and Statistical Process Control (SPC) as a daily way of life.
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Experience leading technical teams in a high performing organization.
- Manufacturing experience in the manufacture of complex electronics, optics and/or electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Experience leading the deployment of new manufacturing technologies, and new product development / design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).
- Demonstrated track record working in cross-functional teams and influencing organizational change.
- Demonstrated experience / certification in Lean principles; Six Sigma, mistake proofing, etc.
- Highest levels of leadership integrity, openness, compliance and honesty in all business interactions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary.
