Nurse Practitioner

As a Registered Nurse with YesCare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to patients in a correctional setting. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility, including performing continuous CPR until properly relieved.
Administer and document medications on the Medication Administration Record, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care provided.
Perform histories and physicals on inmates, assessing patient health status and referring to appropriate level of healthcare provider as needed.
Teach healthcare information to patients and correctional staff, promoting health education and awareness.
Collect samples, specimens, and cultures per Physician orders, maintaining accurate records and following proper protocols.
Adhere to safety and security policies, participating in disaster drills and following security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
Perform venipuncture and I.V. therapy, following standard precautions and using personal protective equipment as required.
