Recovery and Resolution Planning Program Director

The Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) Program Manager is a key professional role within Citigroup Inc. that oversees the development and implementation of large-scale recovery and resolution planning projects.

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within Finance and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Program/Project Management, with experience in leading and implementing large-scale recovery and resolution planning projects and the execution of business-as-usual activities.

The individual will be responsible for leading and delivering a portfolio of projects by leveraging project management, relationship building, and communication skills.

The Program Manager should apply knowledge of Finance, risk, and issue management skills to ensure the timely delivery of target state strategic commitments.

Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio management, including creating project plans, project plan tracking, status reporting, regulatory updates, and creating project governance forums.
  • Prioritizing workflow, organizing and developing project managers, issue and corrective action plan, and resource management.
  • Managing and coordinating recovery and resolution plan regulatory submissions.
  • Developing and managing recovery and resolution governance forums, including agenda setting, producing materials, status reporting, and facilitating discussions to highlight risks, issues, and dependencies across RRP programs and BAU processes.
  • Leading cross-functional working groups to drive strategic objectives and ensure timely delivery of RRP commitments.
  • Building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across including FP&A, Markets, and other departments.
  • Participating in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization, and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions, and locations.
  • Completing quality assurance reviews across the program and project lifecycle to ensure alignment with Balance Sheet management commitments.
  • Accountable for managing firm risks across the RRP Execution portfolio.
  • Highlighting program progress to management across key RRP KPIs metrics and success criteria.
  • Developing and automating recovery and resolution planning reporting by leveraging Power BI, KPIs.
  • Developing and managing recovery and resolution policies and procedures.
  • Supporting regulatory engagements, including audits, exams, and remediation efforts.
  • Managing RRP plan submissions and managing regulatory communications.
  • Developing management reporting and ensuring consistent RRP reporting internal and external channels.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry highly preferred.
  • Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function.
  • Requires communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence others.
  • Requires Project Management, Transformation, Change Management, vendor management, issue management, stakeholder management skills.
  • Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within Finance and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Compliance Management:

  • Knowledge and experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements as well as experience representing large financial institutions (preferably G-SIBs) with regulatory bodies (e.g., OCC, FDIC, FRB, PRA, EBA, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products/systems highly preferred.

Education:

Bachelor's degree, potentially Master's degree or PMP.
