About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. As an Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and quality of life.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs that help restore or improve function in activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognitive tasks, strength, coordination, and range of motion in patients suffering from disease or injury.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, plans of care, goals, and discharge plans for patients.
- Establish plans of care with patients and/or family members.
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Select treatment activities to progress patients towards goals.
- Revises goals/plans of care with patient/family input.
- Provide patient/family education and training.
- Provide discharge instructions, follow-up, and referral to community resources as appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities
- Document evaluations and plans of care according to departmental guidelines.
- Document each treatment session according to departmental protocols.
- Complete and submit family education, discharge, and other required documentation within facility and program guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy or Master's in Occupational Therapy.
- Occupational Therapist licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $73,400 - $103,300 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
