Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the planning and coordination of all manufacturing activities at Wabash. The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising hourly coordinators and production employees, evaluating and coaching employees to improve performance, and supporting the SQDCME Scorecard initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and assign personnel to meet production goals and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Develop and execute production plans to achieve departmental and plant goals for all SQDCME metrics
  • Manage labor effectively and communicate clear job expectations to achieve manufacturing results
  • Develop, direct, and manage production employees to properly utilize equipment and tools
  • Coach and counsel employees while enforcing process controls, company policies, and procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe work environment and foster a spirit of cooperation throughout the facility
  • Lead and support continuous improvement activities, including the ECO System
  • Coordinate training and onboarding for new employees and maintain skills matrices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Technology preferred
  • 2-3+ years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to identify OSHA compliance issues and control hazards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kronos, ADP, SAP, and other business software preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
