Job Overview

The Dime Community Bank is seeking an experienced IT Security Compliance Specialist to join their team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the bank's information security program is compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

About the Role

This position involves working closely with the Senior Information Security Manager to maintain and improve the bank's security monitoring functions, including operational and tactical responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking operations and policy development, as well as experience with financial services regulatory requirements (FFIEC, GLBA, NYSDFS) and industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001/2).

Main Responsibilities

• Compliance Management
• Oversee system monitoring activities to ensure compliance with Dime's information security policies and regulatory requirements;
• Manage log and entitlement reviews of critical systems to protect the bank's information assets from internal and external threats;
• Coordinate regular vulnerability testing and security evaluations to assess the effectiveness of existing controls;
• Use metrics to measure and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of information security controls;
• Policies and Procedures
• Develop, maintain, and test policies, standards, processes, and procedures to assess, monitor, and report on information security risks and related compliance issues;
• Collaborate with business units, Internal Audit, vendors, and other systems professionals to ensure compliance with policies and procedures;
• Security Systems Implementation
• Participate in the implementation and roll-out of Information Security systems and software within Dime to verify compliance with Information Security Policies;

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and minimum three years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management software;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Able to work outside of normal business hours on occasion;

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $105,000 - $115,000 annually, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will also receive a full competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
