Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Services Manager to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residential care units and ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human services, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with children and adolescents. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and a master's degree is preferred. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the residential care units
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of mental health technicians and shift supervisors
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of care for patients
  • Collaborating with the Director of Nursing, Director of Clinical Services, and Director of Risk to achieve the mission of the organization
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team to ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for patients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field
  • 5 years of experience working with children and adolescents, with at least 2 years in a residential or acute facility
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with 24-hour staff scheduling using Inovalon (Shifthound) or UKG Pro Workforce Management & Scheduling
  • Detail-oriented and able to successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly effective listening skills and verbal de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to set and maintain therapeutic distance with clients and maintain therapeutic boundaries during treatment and following discharge
