Job Overview

SERCO of Texas - Alamo is seeking a skilled Career Navigator to join our team in supporting the success of young individuals in the WIOA Youth program. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in empowering youth to achieve self-sufficiency by providing personalized guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct intake and case management activities to assess service needs and develop tailored plans for participants.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify education and training options that align with their career goals and aspirations.
  • Administer interest, aptitude, and achievement tests, and provide assessment results to assist participants in setting realistic goals and making informed decisions.
  • Develop and lead workshops, job clubs, and other customer group meetings to promote skill-building and networking opportunities.
  • Refer applicants who are ineligible or have other training interests to relevant agencies, training centers, or community organizations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in performing intake and certification work, or a combination of experience and education in related fields such as Psychology or Sociology.
  • An Associate degree with coursework in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with participants from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation are essential for this role.
