Job Summary

The Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist will be an integral part of the DC Mother-Baby Wellness program, working alongside a team of specialized clinicians and care coordinators. This role involves providing behavioral health screening and interventions to pregnant and postpartum patients, identifying and prioritizing clinical and psychosocial goals, and ensuring optimal patient coordination and collaboration between teams and partner organizations. A Washington DC clinical license is required, with perinatal mental health experience being a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral health screening and interventions to pregnant and postpartum patients.
  • Identify and prioritize clinical and psychosocial goals, problem-solving as needed to ensure follow-through on needed responses by the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure optimal patient coordination and collaboration between teams and partner organizations.

Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a similar discipline.
  • 3 years' experience in a behavioral health setting with therapy, care coordination, and a diverse patient population, preferably with a focus on maternal or perinatal mental health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse patients and groups, and excellent problem-solving skills to support diverse program and patient needs.

Required Licenses and Certifications
  • Ind. Clinical Social Worker DC LICSW, Psychologist, LPC, or comparable behavioral health license.
  • Certificate in perinatal mental health (preferred).
