Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and fully bilingual Burmese interpreter to join our team. As an independent contractor, you will have the opportunity to work on a part-time basis, with flexible hours that fit your availability and preferences.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and listening skills, as well as familiarity with medical terminology. You will be responsible for providing in-person interpretation services to our clients, who require assistance with medical appointments and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fully bilingual in Burmese and English

  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Reliable transportation to attend appointments locally
  • Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
  • Access to a printer
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Fully bilingual in Burmese and English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a translator or interpreter
  • Interpreting certification preferred
