The Opportunity:

This role will lead cross-functional and/or cross-company teams to commercialize new diagnostic medical devices and products. The individual will be directly involved in problem solving and decision making by the various project teams, ensuring that decisions are consistent with the overall commercial and divisional objectives for the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute product launches to completion and ensure successful market adoption.
  • Formulate and consolidate project scopes, plans, strategies, and budgets for one or more product launches.
  • Work closely with Executive Leadership and subject matter experts from Sales, Area Marketing, Area Commercial Excellence, Field Service, Global Strategic Marketing, Global Commercial Excellence, R&D, Manufacturing, and other functions.
  • Confirm strategic direction for product launches and ensure ongoing planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on the products.
  • Ensure division-wide thinking and problem solving are incorporated into product launch execution.
  • Drive for resolution in cross-functional problem solving, communication, and integration.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the team and management.
  • Raise issues to the appropriate level of management.
  • Prepare and present information on an as-needed basis to ensure the successful meeting of product launch objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degrees in business or a scientific discipline; MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing medical device or pharmaceutical product launches.
  • Management consulting experience preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in medical device company in sales, marketing, or commercial excellence.
  • Cross-functional experience in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Customer Service, and Manufacturing are desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization within a variety of departments.
  • Strong leadership and the ability to collect information from multiple sources, and synthesize, integrate, and resolve conflicting requirements and cross-functional issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and influence skills.
  • Experience working with external suppliers, partners, and customers.
  • Proficient with use of various software applications such as MS Word, Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.

The base pay for this position is $143,300.00 – $286,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
