Surgical Technologist

Ascension is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Your expertise will be essential in preparing the operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies, as well as assisting surgeons during surgery.
Responsibilities
• Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures
• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies
• Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instruments counts throughout procedures
• Assist surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery
Requirements
• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Additional Preferences: Previous experience as a surgical technologist is preferred.
