Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in the Outpatient Department at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Cary. As an integral member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care and support medical staff in examination and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist medical and nursing staff in various tasks, including taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and disposing of contaminated supplies
  • Perform routine administrative duties, such as answering telephones, updating patient records, and handling billing and bookkeeping
  • Take initiative to promote patient/family understanding of educational content and involvement in the plan of care

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in medical assisting and excellent communication skills. A graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is strongly preferred.

Duke Health offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide relocation assistance, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
