Avera Medical Group Spencer is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join their team. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients in the clinic setting.

Job Summary:

Assist in providing care for patients in the clinic setting, developing long-term, rewarding relationships with patients, and working collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAAMA), or National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT), or National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association.
  • Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.
  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or diploma preferred.

  • Competitive hourly rate: $19.25 - $27.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Work Schedule:

  • Days: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.
  • Occasional weekend.
  • Full Time; 80hrs/2wks.
