Work Schedule

  • Monday - Friday (8-hour shifts) No weekends
  • 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within a correctional environment.
  • Evaluate the physical, psychological, and social aspects of patients; gather health histories and provide written assessments upon intake.
  • Document and communicate triage decisions to the appropriate healthcare provider during custody and upon discharge.
  • Formulate individualized nursing care plans based on assessment protocols in collaboration with healthcare providers.
  • Execute medical care plans, including diagnostic tests and EKGs, as per physician directives.
  • Administer medications following established techniques, procedures, and approved routes; manage nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
  • Assist physicians in medical or minor surgical procedures as required.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Proficient in electronic medical record systems
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including background checks and drug screenings
