Aerospace Machine Learning Engineer for Top Secret Clearance

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in fundamental software engineering approaches and languages, with an interest and specialization in accelerating and deploying machine learning algorithms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with scientists and researchers on projects related to image processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop robust solutions for real-world problems using parallel computing techniques
- Ongoing optimization of runtime speed of deep neural networks while retaining accuracy through model compression and conversion approaches
- Deploy machine learning models and standard algorithmic implementations at the edge for real-time inference
- Partner with internal and external software and hardware teams to maximize process chain performance
- Support on-site work, as needed, and travel or off-site work to support final integration exercises necessary for product delivery
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree + 4-6 years experience, Master's degree + 2-4 years experience, or Ph.D. in Computer Science + 0-2 years experience, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field
- An active U.S. Government Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a Clearance. Current SSBI is preferred
- Familiarity with C, C++, Python, and Matlab
- Familiarity with high-performance, data parallel, multi-core processing
- Familiarity with numerical computing principles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing
- Familiarity with image processing algorithms via classical and various deep-learning-based computer vision domains (Object Detection, Segmentation, Re-Identification, Tracking, Super Resolution)
- Familiarity with performance primitives such as IPP, NPP, and Arm Performance Libraries
- Experience with AWS/Sagemaker
