We are seeking a Powersports Service Writer to join our team at Scranton Auto Group.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing service requests, and facilitating communication between customers and our service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and provide information about services and repairs needed for their powersports vehicles.
  • Service Coordination: Create and manage service orders, ensuring all necessary information is documented accurately, including customer details, vehicle information, and service requests.
  • Estimates and Invoicing: Prepare cost estimates for repairs and maintenance, explain charges to customers, and process invoices upon completion of service.
  • Scheduling: Schedule service appointments and manage our service department's calendar to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the service process, providing updates on vehicle status and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions in our dealership's management system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with service technicians to understand repair needs and ensure that services are completed to customer satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving: Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive customer experience.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a service writer or customer service role, preferably in the powersports, automotive, or motorcycle industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with powersports vehicles, parts, and repair processes is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using dealership management software and other computer applications.
