About the Role

This Certified Nursing Assistant will provide supportive services to patients and/or residents whose health status is unstable. They will be responsible for providing routine activities or daily living, nursing care, and emotional support in accordance with the patients' needs, the comprehensive plan of care, and as directed by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with all activities of daily living, including ambulation, turning, and repositioning, and promoting comfort.
  • Provide assistance with dental and mouth care, bathing, personal hygiene, dressing, bowel, and bladder functions.
  • Help patients walk, exercise, and move in and out of bed, while also assisting with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents.
  • Manage catheter care and/or incontinence care.
  • Use adaptive equipment as outlined by the plan of care or facility's policies.
  • Observe skin and report any impaired skin integrity, or injuries of known and unknown origin.
  • Perform incidental household services, make beds, and other light housekeeping duties.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma and current South Carolina State Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in good standing. Previous experience working as a CNA in hospice and/or related healthcare setting is preferred. You must also have a valid South Carolina Driver's License and be able to drive to patient homes, facilities, and healthcare providers locations throughout your shift.
