Job Summary

The Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver seeks a highly skilled Grant Manager to oversee the financial, human resources, and general business operations functions for sponsored projects. This is a full-time, benefitted position that requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to develop, read, analyze, and interpret general business, financial documents, and budget reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage grant budgets and prepare spending projections
  • Monitor for cost overruns and ensure accuracy of reports and transactions
  • Provide progress reports to Investigators, regulatory bodies, and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in ensuring rules and regulations of sponsoring agencies are adhered to
  • Grant Proposal Support and Preparation
  • Assist Investigators in proposal preparation, including budget preparation and completion of standard forms as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in grant application and submissions, grant management, accounting, and bookkeeping
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to develop, read, analyze, and interpret general business, financial documents, and budget reports
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field of study or Certified Research Administrator Certificate
  • 5 years of direct experience in grant application and submissions, grant management
  • Higher education experience
  • Experience working with state, federal, and private grants, and gifts
