Compensation and Benefits SummaryThe estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. U.S.-based employees may be eligible for short-term and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits.
Job DescriptionJob OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineering Lead to join our team at Takeda Pharmaceutical. As a key member of our Process Development group, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and developing innovative solutions to drive process efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement technical strategies to improve process efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and optimize processes, including scale-up activities from laboratory to commercial-scale production.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct analysis of technical and conceptual risk through robust process characterization, failure mode analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Develop and use knowledge and interpersonal skills to influence and guide others towards the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Ph.D. degree with 7+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience; an MS degree with 13+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience; or a BS degree with 15+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Extensive experience in mathematical modeling, advanced process control systems, and process analytical technologies (PAT).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot critical issues and determine causes and possible solutions.
