Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled EMT Medical Specialist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our patient flow team, you will be responsible for facilitating internal transfers, ensuring compliance with transfer laws and hospital policies, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect demographic and financial information on incoming transfers and complete registration in the hospital system
  • Adhere to Federal/State statutes governing medical emergency transfers and enforce time requirements
  • Ensure non-emergent patients meet hospital admitting criteria and confirm admission to appropriate level of care
  • Coordinate transfers with other departments and Patient Flow Coordinator to pre-screen patients and schedule outpatient tests/procedures
  • Verify hospital census and ensure accurate billing for patients

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • One year of experience in a related field
