About the Role
Cherry Bekaert is seeking a highly experienced Audit Partner to lead our Austin Assurance practice. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving growth and building a strong team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently grow the practice through expansion of services to existing clients, cross-selling with other advisory practices, and obtaining new clients.
- Execute the Firm and Audit Service Line vision, strategy, and goals for the Austin audit practice, as well as support other leaders in their execution of the strategic plan.
- Ensure discipline around execution of Service Line business processes and Firm business practices for the Austin audit practice.
- Manage the utilization and productivity of professionals in the practice to achieve operational and financial targets.
- Develop professionals within the practice and build a talent pipeline with the requisite technical expertise.
- Drive consistency, collaboration, and communication among Service Line, Market Leaders, Shared Service Leaders, Advisory, and Industry Leaders as well as with other stakeholders.
- Develop the Austin audit annual budget and drive results against budget and key performance indicators throughout the year for the practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting. Master's preferred.
- Must be CPA certified and have an active CPA license.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience with a large local, regional, or national public accounting firm.
- Demonstrated experience in driving growth and building an office, practice, industry group, service line, or similar.
- Ability to drive success through the influencing of Partners and staff.
