Job Summary

The American Legion is seeking a skilled Administrative Specialist to join our team in the Remittance Processing department. As an Administrative Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our membership and revenue enhancement processes.

Responsibilities
  • Data Entry and Processing: Accurately enter control logs for production analysis and process documentation, ensuring timely and efficient processing of incoming financial transactions.
  • Membership Preparation: Verify and prepare membership applications for accurate and timely processing, adhering to internal deadlines and national target dates.
  • Revenue Enhancement: Sort, edit, and batch revenue enhancement responses, DMS responses, and headquarters post renewals to ensure timely processing of valid applications and proper handling of invalid ones.
  • Credit Card Payments: Process and deposit credit card payments using electronic credit card authorization software, verifying data accuracy and preparing related reports.
  • Training and Support: Assist in training existing and new personnel on job procedures and operation of related equipment, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Inquiries and Support: Research and respond to inquiries or problems relating to various programs, providing prompt and effective support to colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful as an Administrative Specialist, you must possess:

  • Education/Technical Knowledge: A working knowledge of practices and procedures of a given vocation or trade, with the ability to read operating instructions or directions and use common tools and materials.
Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
