Job Overview

Salary and Benefits

About the Role

This Elementary Education Specialist position requires a strong background in teaching and education, with a focus on ESL (English as a Second Language) and literacy instruction. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to develop effective instructional strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs, incorporating digital tools and resources to promote student engagement and creativity.
  2. Provide individualized support and accommodations to students, adapting instruction to meet their unique requirements and abilities.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, develop curriculum materials, and coordinate school-wide initiatives.
  4. Assess student progress through various forms of evaluation, including formal and informal assessments, to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  5. Manage classroom environment and behavior, maintaining a safe and inclusive space for all students to learn and grow.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
  • ESL certification preferred for K-5 ELA, Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Special Education teaching assignments.
  • Bilingual Certification Required.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Student teaching or approved internship.
Working Conditions

This position requires standing for long periods, frequent stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. The successful candidate must maintain emotional control under stress and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.
