Lead Avionics Design Engineer for VIP Jets

Job Overview: Greenpoint Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Lead Avionics Design Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.
About the Role: As a Lead Avionics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced avionics systems for VIP jets. You will lead the design process, ensuring that all systems meet customer requirements, FAA regulations, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed designs of avionics systems, including cabin system components, in-flight entertainment, communication systems, and LED cabin lighting.
- Develop verification and test procedures to comply with the latest FAA design requirements.
- Support installation of systems, identifying root cause issues, resolving design problems, and updating drawings to meet schedule.
- Interface with customers, FAA designees, and vendors to ensure designs meet all requirements.
- Participate in project scheduling, ensuring accuracy to major milestones and deliverables.
- Mentor and guide other engineers on technical designs or processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years relevant aerospace experience, preferably in aircraft interior and/or VIP retrofit.
- Extensive technical knowledge of Boeing aircraft for VIP and/or commercial models.
- Strong working knowledge of My Boeing Fleet for OEM data sets.
- Thorough knowledge of power distribution and certification and electrical design process.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Competent use of CAD and data management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and ability to sit for extended periods.
