The estimated annual salary for this role is $147,600 in San Francisco, with a range of $113,600 - $181,600. Final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications, experience, and market data.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong leadership and communication skills who can work independently and collaboratively to drive technical solutions from inception to completion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and improving existing build and deployment processes across all products.
  • Collaborating with Integration engineers to create automation best practices.
  • Designing and deploying new application components and infrastructures.
  • Implementing and maintaining a continuous integration environment.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting product and infrastructure issues.
  • Writing configuration scripts for automation tools and automating recurring tasks.
  • Actively monitoring and administering cloud-hosted applications and builds integrations.
  • Participating in engineering design and deployment planning.
  • Defining and documenting continuous integration/continuous deployment best practices.
  • Solving difficult problems with scripting languages across multiple environments.
  • Implementing and maintaining security in accordance with Bank security policies.
  • Driving improvement opportunities in infrastructure, tooling, and workflows using a continuous feedback loop.
  • Ensuring uptime and reliability of Cloud-based infrastructure and systems, monitoring system performance, and maintaining high availability of cloud-based assets.
  • Participating in incident response and troubleshooting by conducting root cause analysis and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Providing on-call production support.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Systems Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant technical or business experience, with 3 years of experience in managing complex systems using software.
  • General familiarity with automated deployments.
  • Strong experience with IBM ACE/MQ, common scripting languages (shell, Python, Perl, YAML), and recent demonstrable experience with GitLab pipeline coding.
  • Ability to write and develop Terraform modules for different infrastructure setups, installation, and configuration.
  • Recent experience with AWS CLI, including S3, EC2, ASG, ELB, SFTP, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.
  • AWS certification and/or experience utilizing AWS services.
  • Working experience in Ansible, GitLab, Terraform, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Grafana, or equivalent.
  • Integration experience with Microservices is a plus.
  • You must be a U.S. citizen or a Green Card holder with the intent to become a U.S. citizen.
