About the Job

This is a full-time position located at our Northern Light Home Care and Hospice location in South Portland. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by understanding and complying with agency policies/procedures and national safety goals.
  • Clinical Assessments: Perform and document comprehensive and holistic assessments, interpreting and responding to abnormal diagnostic data.
  • Caring and Code of Conduct: Develop a relationship with patients/families that facilitates mutual involvement in the planning of care.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrate basic critical thinking skills.
  • Documentation: Document accurately and concisely, reflecting adherence to agency, regulatory, and legal requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Associate's Degree accepted if accompanied by relevant experience).
  • At least one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and agency required auto liability insurance.
Working Conditions

This role may involve:

  • Lifting, moving, and loading 30-50 pounds.
  • Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Potential exposure to diseases or infections.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $73,000-$93,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as paid time off and holidays.
