About the Position

The County of Riverside is seeking a skilled PACS Administrator to join our Radiology Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Application-Level Support: Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot PACS and associated devices and software.
  • Integrate Diagnostic Images: Ensure that digital image data transfers are properly entered into the PACS system, and RIS validation and exceptions handling are performed.
  • Monitor PACS Performance: Prepare reports on PACS performance and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Provide User Training: Train users on the proper use and operation of PACS equipment and software applications.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience: One year of radiologic technology experience comparable to an acute care facility, including some experience with PACS technology.
  • License/Certificate: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Certified Radiologic Technologist in the State of California, and a valid fluoroscopy permit issued by the California State Department of Health Services.
  • Certification: Certified PACS Associate is preferred.
