Family Support Professional

We are seeking a Family Support Professional to join our team at Waypoint, a leading organization in New Hampshire dedicated to supporting residents across their lifespans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide family support to incarcerated fathers and their families in the community through close collaboration with the DOC Family Support Specialist.
- Work in close contact with incarcerated individuals daily while maintaining security within the institution.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree from a recognized college in child development, family studies, social services, psychology, sociology, or a related field, and a minimum of two years' experience working in a position related to child development or family support.
- Associate's degree from a recognized college in the above-mentioned fields, along with a minimum of three years' experience in Corrections and familiarity with child development and/or family support.
Candidates must also undergo a criminal background check and obtain training and certification as a New Hampshire Department of Corrections Volunteer.
Skills and Qualifications- Maintain the organization and orderly flow of the Family Connections Center.
- Schedule, monitor, and complete assessments of video visitation between incarcerated parents and their children, including providing parent coaching after each visit.
- Facilitate support groups and curriculum-led classes for program participants.
- Provide administrative support services as needed.
- Coordinate and cooperate with other agencies and officials to ensure optimal effectiveness of the Family Connections Center.
- Attend relevant staff meetings, conferences, and work with other State agencies if schedules permit.
- Review and mail out recorded audiobooks and books to incarcerated parents' children.
