The Kent Hospitality Group is a pioneering hospitality company in North America, renowned for its fine dining experiences and exceptional service. We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Strategic Lead to oversee procurement operations across our multiple locations in New York City.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cost-effective purchasing strategies that align with our business goals. Your expertise in negotiating contracts, building strong relationships with suppliers, and managing vendor performance will be invaluable in ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Purchasing Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Collaborate with our leadership team to create comprehensive purchasing plans that drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Negotiate Contracts and Terms: Foster strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, and ensure alignment with our quality standards.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, vet, and onboard new vendors, monitoring their performance to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Purchase Order System: Refine and implement a centralized purchase order system to streamline operations, enhance transparency, and improve tracking capabilities.

Cost Control & Budget Management:

  • Budget Monitoring: Analyze market trends, forecast procurement needs, and adjust purchasing strategies to minimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with location managers to maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce waste, and develop standardized inventory tracking systems.
  • Financial Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, labor costs, food costs, and other metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Location-Specific Needs: Work closely with chefs, sous chefs, general managers, and managers to understand location-specific requirements and implement solutions that drive efficiency.
  • Pre-Opening Procurement: Lead pre-opening procurement efforts for F&B, including vendor onboarding, R365 setup, and creation of order guides.
