Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Selecting proper technical factors for study and performing diagnostic CT examinations accurately and efficiently
  • Operating and maintaining CT scanners, pressure injectors, resuscitation equipment, laser filmers, and teleradiology systems
  • Assisting in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures
  • Preparing, transferring, and positioning patients for exams, ensuring modesty and safety
  • Documenting clinical information, obtaining informed consent, and completing required fields in MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • Obtaining high-quality CT images and submitting them for interpretation
  • Maintaining proficiency in executing software protocols and staying up-to-date with changes in the field
  • Communicating effectively with patients and other caregivers, including radiologists
  • Checking equipment operation, maintaining cleanliness, and stocking supplies
  • Accepting on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed
Requirements
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technology program at an accredited, AMA-approved institution
  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health CRT licensure
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of equipment specific to CT and X-ray, radiation safety, hazardous materials, and infection control policies
  • Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment (100+/- lbs.)
