Job Summary
Carle Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse RN to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse RN, you will be responsible for delivering patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information, preparing patients for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures.
- May be required to draw and collect blood and other samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Apply the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation) within licensure guidelines.
- Provide telephone triage by offering advice for home care of illness/conditions, conducting follow-up phone calls as necessary, and documenting patient health and progress.
- Complete appropriate forms or requisitions needed for referrals or lab testing, including CPT/ICD-9 coding.
- Track follow-up appointments related to office visits, laboratory tests, and procedures to monitor disease status.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation in the patient's electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes.
- Supervise delegated duties to LPN and CMA on approved clinical protocols.
Requirements
- College diploma in a graduate program for Registered Nurses.
- Current license to practice nursing in the State of Illinois for Registered Nurses.
- Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Previous clinical experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Clinical Excellence/Patient Care.
