Shipbuilding Paint Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Paint Technician to join our team at HII's Ingalls Shipbuilding division. As a Paint Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and durability of our ships' coatings.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing blasting and painting operations using marine coating to specified contract requirements. This includes understanding blasting and painting specifications, identifying and correcting deficiencies, and demonstrating proficiency in blast equipment operation.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience as a painter/blaster
• Ability to perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all applications
• Understanding of blasting and painting specifications
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a bonus structure based on performance and contributions to the team.
