Job Overview

Frank Beverage Group is seeking a skilled Brand Manager to join our team in Sussex, WI. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies with our suppliers to drive growth and expansion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and sales, with experience in the beverage industry. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers, as well as working closely with our sales team to implement goals and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute brand strategies with assigned suppliers to promote brand growth and expansion.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with supplier representatives and provide consistent updates on goals and programs.
  • Develop and execute supplier brand programs, including establishing discount pricing, forecasting sales, and advising order services team on inventory levels.
  • Execute brand standards and marketing plans, create local brand programs, and evaluate retail pricing and profitability for the company and retail accounts.
  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including key retailers and suppliers.
  • Secure and expand distribution in assigned territory by setting benchmarks and calling on accounts both independently and with sales managers and sales representatives.
  • Strategically partner with suppliers to enhance the company's long-term brand equities.
  • Work with suppliers to establish priorities and identify opportunities to grow distribution and revenue.
  • Identify and monitor brands for code date issues and work with sales managers to create plans to move all product through retail accounts.
  • Maintain knowledge of the brand portfolio and promotions.
  • Conduct brand presentations in sales meetings and actively participate in meetings with sales managers and sales representatives.
  • Develop and manage supplier and internal sales budgets.
  • Order point-of-sale materials for programs and communicate availability and approve point-of-sales material requests.
  • Conduct product training and tastings for retail staff as needed.
  • Recruit and develop relationships with potential new suppliers.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of product portfolio and promotions.
  • Work on special projects assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of on or off-premise experience and previous sales experience within the beverage industry preferred.
  • Experience in the Consumer Product Goods (CPG) industry preferred.
  • Brand management and/or management experience preferred.
  • Industry professional certifications preferred.

  • Ability to make decisions timely with appropriate amount of information available.

  • Maintains expert-level knowledge of product portfolio and promotions.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality assurance standards.
  • Knowledge of supplier marketing guidelines and appropriate use of brands in displays and partnerships.
  • Knowledgeable of key state and federal regulations governing alcohol distribution services, such as legal drinking age, licensing, use of free goods, and outdated product replacement.
  • Deep understanding of pricing and promotions and able to calculate costs and pricing to ensure costs and profitability.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain necessary liquor salesperson's permit.
  • May need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight for business meetings and related activities.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis and up to 160 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to crouch, reach, and grasp.
  • Ability to sit in a car for extended periods.
