Beacon Recycling Inc is a leading provider of scrap metal management services in the Great Lakes Region.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate current purchasing activities and processes to develop a comprehensive purchasing program.
  • Work within established budgets for all purchases, including CAPEX projects.
  • Evaluate suppliers, create and maintain approved supplier lists.
  • Negotiate contract terms, including price and delivery of goods and services.
  • Track and ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Maintain updated records of purchases, deliveries, and invoices.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor stock levels and place orders as necessary.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders as needed.
  • Create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers.
  • Resolve conflicts with delivery schedules, product defects, and parts inventory levels.
  • Track and report on supplier and vendor performance, as well as cost-saving measures reached.

  • A competitive salary of up to $85,000 per year, based on experience.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Purchasing or Supply Chain Management experience.
  • 4-year degree OR 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain management experience.
