Controller Opportunity

We are working with a small regional company in the metro who is looking to add a Controller to their team. This organization has an exceptional culture where they support their employees in continuous learning and prioritize their people, providing a work/life balance that many of us are looking for.

This is a highly visible role within the organization and works closely with the CFO and the CEO. The Controller will have 2 direct reports to mentor and oversee.

Responsibilities of the Controller:
  • Perform monthly financial closing duties, including preparing accrual entries, entering monthly requisitions, reconciling ledger accounts, and preparing internal financial statements.
  • Develop and mentor accounting staff.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
  • Manage the monthly preparation of bank and investment reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements for year-end financial audit.
  • Provide leadership in driving continued process efficiencies and automation.
  • Prepare all tax reporting requirements on a regular basis.
  • Support additional ad-hoc projects as requested.
Requirements for the Controller Opportunity:
  • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
  • Solid understanding of accounting processes and procedures as well as US GAAP.
  • ERP system experience.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $140,000
