Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Driver to join our team at Plumbers Supply Co. in Louisville. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a family-owned business that prioritizes delivering high-quality plumbing supplies and exceptional customer service. You will be operating large trucks, handling various types of cargo, including hazardous materials, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operate company-owned and leased trucks, including those requiring a CDL-A for loads over 12,000 lbs, as well as box trucks and flatbed trucks.
  • Load and unload trucks according to delivery schedules and ticket instructions to meet customer specifications.
  • Use material handling equipment to load and deliver products safely.
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and ensure maintenance is up to date.
  • Maintain accurate DOT logs and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
  • Maintain required certifications and adhere to DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A license and Class A HAZMAT certification.
  • Current DOT Medical Card.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally more with assistance.
  • Proven track record of dependable attendance.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
