We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Caregiver and Child Development Specialist to join our team at North Marin Community Services.

Salary

$24.00 - $25.00/hour, depending on experience, with an opportunity to earn a sign-on bonus of $250.

About the Role

As a Substitute Childcare Teacher, you will work as needed, supporting children's development in a nurturing environment. Your role will include supervising groups of children, implementing daily planned activities, and ensuring positive and open communication with colleagues and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in diverse backgrounds, implementing daily curricula and activities that promote their growth and development.
  • Maintain proper adult:child ratios, working closely with the teaching team to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Transport children in a 9-passenger van from school to our facility and on field trips, adhering to California safety regulations.
  • Support the classroom climate, fostering a positive and culturally affirming atmosphere, and providing guidance as needed.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, upholding agency policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 12+ Early Childhood Education Units (ECE) or Multi-Subject Teacher credential.
  • English fluency.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • A valid Class C driver's license and insurability at non-risk rates.
