About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. as a Project Manager. As a key member of our Geotechnical and Infrastructure Practice, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and working closely with clients to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead geotechnical engineering projects from proposal to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Manage and coordinate subsurface exploration programs, including client and stakeholder engagement.
  • Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and calculations, including slope stability analyses, seismic evaluations, shallow and deep foundation design, ground improvement design, excavation and shoring evaluations, and other challenging technical evaluations.
  • Prepare written geotechnical reports and work with dedicated editing, data, and mapping teams to create high-end and cutting-edge deliverables.
  • Effectively manage project schedules, scopes of work, and financial aspects, including profitability and invoicing.
  • Develop new opportunities with existing clients through effective project delivery and client engagement.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to share project information, objectives, and geotechnical engineering recommendations.
  • Coordinate and oversee construction oversight programs to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities in geotechnical engineering, project and people management, and consulting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geological engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university with geotechnical engineering coursework.
  • Professional Engineer's License in the State of Washington or ability to obtain it within 6 months of starting.
  • At least 5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of project management experience.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions in rugged and sometimes remote field locations.
  • Ability to travel long distances and accommodate occasional overnight travel.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
Compensation

The typical base salary range for this position is $93,875 - $122,040. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k), and other benefits to eligible employees.
